Winners in the 50^th Annual Grammy Awards, presented by the Recording Academy, were announced both prior to and during ceremonies in Los Angeles on February 10.  Among those receiving awards in some of the more than 100 categories were:

Best Historical Album: The Live Wire – Woody Guthrie in Performance 1949, Nora Guthrie & Jorge Arevalo Mateus, compilation producers; Jamie Howarth, Steve Rosenthal, Warren Russell Smith & Dr. Kevin Short, mastering engineers (Woody Guthrie Publications)

Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album: Salt of the Earth, Ricky Skaggs & The Whites (Skaggs Family Records)

Best Traditional World Music Album: African Spirit, Soweto Gospel Choir (Shanachie Entertainment)

Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals: Gone Gone Gone (Time Moved On), Robert Plant & Alison Kraus

Best Pop Instrumental Performance: One Week Last Summer, Joni Mitchell (Track from Shine on Hear Music)
